Time Exchange to Door County, WI

A May 2004 trip to Door County by wcperdue

It continues to be a favourite getaway location, just before the summer rush, while the blossoms are still at their peak. We have noticed changes over the years, but the general laid-back ambience remains the same.

This was an excellent meal, consisting of smoked trout chowder and 'fall off the bone' ribs, capped off with sherry pie. We had a sensational view looking out over a golf course and out to the bay. The service was friendly and attentive.

You'll need to phone ahead for directions and it's quite simple to find once you have them, about 12 miles north of Sturgeon Bay at a great location on the Lake Michigan shore. It serves excellent food. The Wednesday/Thursday buffets were exceptional deals.

The food is excellent time and time again. They serve large portions and something for every taste. It's a great place for lunchand I bet you'll want to go back for a dinner.

This is another return favorite. They serve excellent homemade soups and sandwiches. The special of the day has never failed to impress: fresh fruit, choice of soup, half sandwich, and half a piece of pie for less than $10.
