An April 2004 trip to Acapulco by imnohurie
Quote: The Grand Mayan is a great place. We had a great time while we were there. Hats off to the bartenders at the pool bar -- they're a great bunch of guys and they really take care of their guests. The prices were reasonable too.

The beach was pretty quiet, but very hot. Walking the length of the pool in front of the towers to the pool bar is very nice. They were working on the little train that goes around the property, so we didn't get to see it run. I didn't do the free breakfast talk, so I didn't have to sit through getting beat up by someone trying to sell me a timeshare. If you want a timeshare, then do it, but if not, don't bother. The waterfalls at the pool are pretty nice to hang out in when it's hot out.
