The resort has a fantastic location right on the beach. If at all possible, get the oceanfront building. That was what took our vacation experience from good to incredible. We did everything out on our spacious balcony. Request a room above the second floor as there are bushes that would limit beach view below the second floor.

The units were adequately supplied and very clean. The bathrooms appear to be showing some wear, but the unit was generally attractive. It looked like the furniture might have been recently replaced. Although the unit is a two-bedroom/two-bathroom, I think it would work best for a family (rather than two couples). The master bath has a toilet and soaker tub and the only shower is in the second bath. The bathrooms are adjacent and have Jack-and-Jill double entry.

The resort has an extensive activities list and the pool area was nice. The wading pool was small (hot tub size), but seemed to be adequate for the number of toddlers at the resort that week. Beach chairs were available to rent for $2 a day. The beach in front of the resort was beautiful, probably the best I have stayed at on the Atlantic side. The water was a bright turquoise. We didn't leave the resort very often. This was a great place to just relax and get away from everything.

This is a very casual restaurant. Go for the "Bug-in-a-box" special on Monday or Thursday. You can order a whole one-pound lobster for $16.95 (includes cole slaw, corn on the cob, and potatoes) or a 1.5-pound lobster for $19.95. We brought my two-year-old and they were so friendly to her. They have a good kids' menu, as well with plenty of non-seafood items.

Bathtub Beach
Go at low tide to experience the benefits of the reef. The water between the reef and the beach is protected and very calm and clear. There is also a sandbar about halfway out that becomes an island at low tide. It was a cool place and great for kids! The beach itself is very clean.
