In the last 10 years, Denton has grown from small college town to overcrowded city of over 100,000 people.
With this growth many excellent places to dine have also emerged.
If you can get past all the road construction and traffic jams, you can find some home owned restaurants and shops that prepare a variety of delicious ethnic foods.
There is not much else to do in Denton, but if you are a jazz fan, you can catch rehearsals of the famous One O'Clock Lab Band at the University of North Texas.
Try to avoid peak traffic hours, since the congestion can be brutal along University Drive, Loop 288 and I-35 toward Dallas and Fort Worth.
Quick Tips:
Local events are listed in Denton Time Section of Denton Record-Chronicle and usually have listings of restaurants.
Best Way To Get Around:
Unfortunately, the only way to get round town is by car or walking.
Road construction and traffic jams can really slow you down in this once small and quiet college town.
