A week of bliss in Pranburi

The Evason Hotel in Pranburi is about 20 minutes south of Hua Hin. As such it's wonderfully secluded, although the small beach bar under the trees sometimes makes a nice change from the more formal hotel bars.

In Hua Hin itself, don't miss the Brasserie de Paris... wonderful food.

Lots to do in Hua Hin... cheap opticians, great tailors (particularly Milano) and some good bargains.

Best Way To Get Around:

There's a regular shuttle bus from the Evason, but it gets booked up quickly, the taxis aren't too expensive.

The Evasonresort, just at Pranburi, south of Hua Hin, along with its sister resort on Phuket offers magnificent private 'pool villas' within the 4* hotel complex.

The main hotel complex features light, airy buildings around immaculate lawns and lily ponds.

The hotel restaurants offer a comprehensive range of foods, from bar snacks at the two story beach bar, fresh pizza from a wood fired oven, to sophisticated thai fusion food. The hotel pool is clean, and staff regularly comes round to server fresh fruit, iced water, to polish spectacles or simply to remind sunbathers not to overdo things.

The pool villas themselves feature a well appointed bedroom, private toilet and washbasin. The showers are outside, as is the large bath, sunken amidst papyrus and bamboo. There is a small garden to relax in, with a summer house with day bed, and, most importantly a private pool about 7 metres long by 5 wide. All surrounded by a 2.5 metre wall for privacy.
