The highlights are going to visit just about everything you can in London. To get a bird's eye view, you should ride on THE EYE. It's similar to a Ferris wheel, and you can see most of the city of London high above. Taking a guided bus tour is always helpful; you will be able to stop at different sites throughout the tour and take your time to explore that particular site.
