Besides soaking in the sun and natural beauty on any of the island's gorgeous beaches, highlights include scuba diving (even if you don't have a license, you can go with an instructor), snorkeling (along the rocks by beaches or in natural pools), hiking, and surfing (December through February). Regularly scheduled boat outings (leaving from Porto de Santo Antônio) will take you for a scenic ride to Praia do Sancho (one of the more stunning beaches) for relaxation and snorkeling (look for the spotted eels!).
