The resort was GREAT! The staff, the grounds, and the hometown feel was enjoyed by both children and adults. And it was truly inexpensive.

The accommodations were clean and spacious. The wraparound deck gave us a bird's-eye-view of the ocean and the well-kept grounds. The locals were always nice and it was not expensive as we originally thought it would be. Most days we were the only persons on the beaches. It was not commercial at all. Some of the units are occupied by year-round residents. We LOVED it!

Best Things Nearby:
The friendly people and the lush surroundings.

Best Things About the Resort:
Peace and uncommercial.

Resort Experience:
The weather was perfect. It rained for about 5 minutes, but the sun was always shining. The resort did not have central air, but don't let this keep you away. We were given fans by the staff and never had to use them. The weather was just right. Many of the residents live there year-round and can assist with your visit. The resort had daily activities for the whole family. At the Princeville Hotel is a short driving distance from the resort and some of the rooms rent for $4,000 a night!!

The beaches of Kauai were excellent for relaxing and soaking up the sun. If you are looking for a crowd, stay away. Most days we were the only people on the beach. It was said that a beach is within five miles of any destination on the islands. There aren't vendors on the beaches trying to sell things to you; it is an unspoiled, uncommercial paradise. You can rent equipment from the small mom-and-pop stores all over the island.
