Sicily Weekend

An April 2004 trip to Palermo by jackprod

Great experience! I liked Teatro Massimo and Santa Rosalia Church. There's a great hotel in the city center called Hotel Elite. The sun was very hot!!

Hotel

I love this hotel. It is near the historic center in the city center. I love the paint on the wall (see the monuments). In the room, we had all amenities like air conditioning, telephone, TV, Internet wireless (free), and large beds. There's garage service and laundry for extra. The continental breakfast is great.

Restaurant

This is a nice place. We ate involtini di pescespada, tagliata di manzo, riso al cioccolato, spaghetti all'aragosta, vino corvo di Salaparuta, and carpaccio di Bresaola with grana and rucola. There was live piano music!

The cathedral in in the historic center -- great architecture and very very big mosaics. We got there on bus number 104, which stops at Place Indipendenza, and bus number 389, which stops at Monreale. In Monreale, we tasted a big ice cream.
