An August 2003 trip

Quote: Visiting Kyneton in Victoria, Australia.
The resort arranges quite a few competitions and activities, which are fun to join in. There are two outdoor tennis courts and a squash court. There are several BBQs around the resort.
The accommodation has modern furniture and a very well appointed kitchen. The two bedroom units have two ensuite bathrooms and a separate laundry, as well as a lounge room.
Kyneton is perfectly positioned to explore the Goldfields region. During our stay, we visited Ballarat where we went to Sovereign Hill, which is a recreated gold mining town. The shops and businesses are from the 1851-1861 period and are based on actual shops that were operating in Ballarat at that time. We also went on a mine tour, which was very interesting. We also went on day trips to Bendigo with its beautiful gothic and classical style buildings, Daylesford, which has a beautiful lake, and Hepburn Springs, which is the spa capital of Victoria.
All in all, it’s a very good resort in an excellent location.
