Week in Sedona

An April 2004 trip to Sedona by wen7789

Quote: I stayed at Sedona Pines Resort and explored Red Rock country by hiking, horseback riding, shopping, and dining. I also made a side trip to the Grand Canyon for the day.

Best Things Nearby: Best Things About the Resort: Resort Experience:Place was clean, but maid service only once during week stay. Staff didn't respond to problems with much urgency. Took 2 days to correct a problem with our heating/cooling. Having full kitchen was nice. The restaurant was closed so you had to go into town for food (10-15 min car ride) if you did not make it yourself. Activites onsite are lame; no discounts for RCI members at local attractions... I don't feel this should be Gold Crown resort. Unit Type: 1 Bedroom Activities: Not Available ...Read More

This is a brew pub with very good beers (about five different kinds) and very tasty food. Their pizzas and ribs are very good. It's not a long wait even when very busy.

This place can be very busy with long (30 minute) wait at lunchtime. The burgers are very good, the staff is very friendly, and the view from the deck is breathtaking.

Red Planet Diner

Restaurant

Quote:
The decor is funky and fun. The service is quick and friendly. The food is good, but not anything special. There's a full bar on the premises, but it's probably still a really good spot to take kids. It stays open later than a lot of restaurants in town.

Cathedral Rock

Attraction

Quote:
The rocks around Sedona are so majestic; I couldn't stare at them enough. For $5, you get a Red Rock pass (available at many places), which allows you to park near many rock formations and trailheads. There are many hiking trails all around Sedona. It's a great destination for a serious or casual hiker.
