Best Things Nearby:
Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge offer many fun activities.

Best Things About the Resort:
Location.

Resort Experience:
This was the worst mattress I've ever slept on. The walls were thin and we could hear people moving around in nearby units. The reception staff wasn't very friendly, but when we needed maintenance to get our video player to work, he was very friendly and professional.

The park map leaves something to be desired. It's difficult to tell at a quick glance where to find the rides. I recommend printing a map from the website before going, so you can plan your day early. The new wooden coaster, Thunderhead, is awesome -- we rode it several times.

Attraction | "Great Smokies National Park"

This is one of the best national forests in the US. Although I hear it can be very busy in the summer, traffic was reasonable during our trip. We only spent one day, driving the Cades Cove Loop, but I would love to return.
