Shop Till You Drop

An April 2004 trip to Gatlinburg by doddlebug

The main event in Gatlinburg when you have a 12-year-old granddaughter with you is going in all the unique shops. We had lots of laughs and loads of fun. We enjoyed the mountains and some of the shows. The Black Bear Jamboree and Hillbilly Hoedown are both great.

Best Things Nearby:
The resort is close to lots of restaurants and tons of shopping. All are within walking distance.

Best Things About the Resort:
The resort is within walking distance of town. The pool is very nice and the hot tub wonderful. The resort is very clean.

Resort Experience:
We had a great time and plan to go back again. We were to have a two-bedroom and ended up with a lock-out unit, and my granddaughter thought she was in heaven having her own little apartment. The resort is an older one, but one of the nicest we have stayed in.

Restaurant

The food is very good and the prices were reasonable. Good place to take a family. They have a salad and soup bar that is a good choice.

This ia wonderful place for breakfast and is just down the street from the resort. You get a great meal for the price. Try the chocolate chip pancakes-- they are to die for.
