Week at the Mayan Palace Riviera

A March 2004 trip to Cancun by ajaxguy

Mayan Palace Riviera is an excellent facility which is currently being further developed. The facility is easily accessible from Cancun or Play del Carmen by public transportation. I have found that the restaurants on site are expensive, therfore plan on eating in Cancun or Playa.

-Hanging out in the restaurant on the beach -Sitting in the hammocks on the beach. -The pool is amazing a huge.

Quick Tips:

Bring your running shoes if not take the golf carts. -Too much pressure to buy time share

Best Way To Get Around:

Public transportation is excellent and cheap. Taxis are also relatively cheap. Driving seems easy enough but there is no need for it. Check out the tours but pay attention to what is promised. I went on a tour where breakeast and lunch were promised, however, the breakfeast never came and lunch was at best average.

The facility was clean and well kept. Everyone treats you nicely and the service is great. The restaraunts are expensive, however, the food and service is good. The facility is huge and you need a golf cart to take you any place. There is a grocery store on site which is very pricey; I bought six budweisers for USD 15.
