Acapulco Nights

A February 2004 trip to Acapulco by bass clef

We had a wonderful stay at the beautiful Mayan Palace and Grand Mayan Resort in Acapulco, Mexico. We loved the resort and the weather. Our family was thrilled.

Best Things Nearby:
There was an incredible mile long beach with wonderful smooth sand and great boogie board waves.

Best Things About the Resort:
The relaxation at the pool or beach each day. Also they have great restaurants and fun activities for both the kids and the adults. Don't miss the Monday night beach party or the Thursday night Musical Review ("Chicago").

Resort Experience:
We had a wonderful relaxing stay with our every need attended to, all at a modest price. Everything is available at the resort. There is hardly any need to go into the town of Acapulco, unless you just want to explore and experience it. There was a Costco five minutes from the resort and a Wal-Mart about 15 minutes away. We would recommend it to anyone and we are planning to return next year.

We loved the resort restaurant and ate out under the stars every night. There were different themed buffets every night or you can order from the menu. Our children always found something to eat and the waiters, especially Francisco, were awesome. He has been there eight years and knows us every time we return.

A little known seven-night buffet package deal can be purchased. We bought this for the whole family and then used those seven nights throughout our 14-day stay. This left the option open for a la carte dining or going into town to a restaurant on half of the evenings. We loved our stay.
