Atlantis Resort

A February 2004 trip to Paradise Island by beachguy6

The pool water temperature is the same as the ocean temperature. In fact, it is the same water. There are pools and water slides for all ages and lagoons with many types of fish. They use 11 million gallons of ocean water at this place. They have the best aquarium you will find anywhere and nice restaurants.

Overview

We enjoyed the pools, waterslides, and seeing all the fish in their natural habitat.

Quick Tips:

If you want a nice spot by one of the pools or a spot on the beach, get out there early when they start setting up. This place is very large with a lot of guests.

If you have any mobility problems, get a motorized wheelchair at front desk because a lot of walking is required.

Best Way To Get Around:

Walking and taxis.

This place was very expensive and not really worth it. We did have an exceptional view of the ocean and of the Royal Towers. All three towers seem about the same. Beach Tower was the cheapest, then Coral Tower, and then Royal Tower.

This place is like a diner. They serve good food and huge sandwiches. It's one of the places here that is very family oriented -- this was one of the places Discovery Camp counselors brought the kids to eat.

Restaurant | "Market Place Buffet"

This is a buffet with a lot of choices. The food was very good, but the place gets crowded when it opens because people line up to get in. It seems more crowded here than at the other two buffets on site.

Attraction

You take a boat ride to a island where you can swim with the dolphins or just watch. It's a lot of fun.
