Best Things Nearby:
Beautiful beaches.

Best Things About the Resort:
Right on the ocean, multiple pools, scuba lessons offered on site, and beautiful grounds with colorful flowers.

Resort Experience:
We had a king size bed, bathroom, kitchen with dining area, living room, and a lanai with a beautiful view of the pool and the ocean. It’s definitely a place to go and relax, as well as a place to play.

The grounds offer a spectacular view while the ocean is breathtaking. The facility personnel were very friendly and helpful. The resort was easy to find, very clean, and hosted many opportunities for outside activities.

The food was wonderful -- both native foods and American foods were served. The luau was a favorite with the local performers, fire throws, Tahitian dancers, and knife throws. It was very well organized and a wonderful presentation.

Attraction | "Snorkeling"

The snorkeling was wonderful. We went to several locations outside of our resort. Hanalei was wonderful snorkeling; the waters were so very blue and the fish would come right up to you. At our resort beach, the fish were as big as your two fists and they would swarm around you looking for food. A great pastime of the travelers is to buy packs of food and feed the fish out of their hands. We even snorkeled a section of the Napali coast during our boat excursion. The water is so clear that from the top of the boat, you could see the bottom. Dolphins were our swim mates. Scupa diving off the north shore was a definite new for me. We dived to about 60 feet. The coral was beautiful along with the many varieties of fish we swam with. We were even up close and personal with a sea turtle on more than one occasion.

Attraction | "Boat Tour of the Napali Coast"

The tour of the Napali coast was breathtaking. We lunched aboard the catamaran and spent a wonderful five hours out on the ocean. Our Tour included snorkeling at the base of the Napali cliffs. We had constant dolphin visitors. Their gracefulness as they swam through the water was majestic. The cliffs held an intrigue all their own. There were several hosted structures that could be construed as statues. The cliffs also hosted many waterfalls. I could have stayed all day with the breeze on my face to the dolphins and the multicolored fish.

Attraction | "Bike Tour of the Sugar Cane Fields"

This tour began as a five-mile bike ride through tunnels and sugar cane fields. The sand was difficult to pedal in and for a beginner it was a rough ride. However, we stopped and toured the sugar cane mill, which is shut down and biked to a spot where we hiked about a mile to our lunch rest spot where many enjoyed the beach for a swim. After lunch, we biked the remainder of the tour. We began our tour with a breathtaking rainbow and we saw both ends! We ended our day with a rainbow. Several times throughout the day we encountered a very fine mist.

Attraction

Chickens were everywhere! There were stands of jewelry and other wares to buy. This overlooked Spouting Horn. This sight was breathtaking: the water flows and is spouted high into the air. The area is enclosed by a fence for protection.

Lu'au and Polynesian ReviewBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Luau"

The luau was wonderful. The pig had been roasted in the ground and could be cut with a fork, it was so tender. The food was offered buffet style after you enjoyed more than an hour of performers and dancers wearing authentic costumes.
