A Great Week in Palm Beach

Quick Tips:

As soon as you get there, talk to the concierge and get the lowdown on what activities are available. There's this fabulous Elvis impersonator in Del Rey Beach on Thursday evenings, and City Place that you can't miss. Make arrangements with the "beach boy" to buy beach chairs for the week and set a date for snorkeling, and talk to the captain about renting a yacht early in the week (in case you have to postpone because of weather). In City Place, there's Sloan's Ice Cream Parlor. It is famous for its bathroom - it comes out in the Travel Channel's 10 Best Bathrooms show.

Best Way To Get Around:

You can get almost everywhere by walking or by taking the shuttle bus. We had a vehicle and it really came in handy when going to City Place and Del Rey Beach.

Beautiful, spacious rooms with a balcony view of the ocean. Rooms had everything you could possibly need - TVs and VCRs in each bedroom and living room, comfortable living room with sofa sleeper. The private beach has white sands and attentive staff.

We had visited Palm Beach before and had dined at Panama Hattie's at the suggestion on the concierge. When we visited Palm Beach the second time, Panama Hattie's was the first stop we made. The food is excellent! I have to go back! Another place you have to visit is Sloan's Ice Cream Parlor. Its bathroom made it to The Travel Channel's Ten Most Outrageous Bathrooms for having glass walls! You must visit this famous spot.
