LesVille's Place is tucked away in Canaan, a quiet residential area ideally located for visiting the fabulous beaches at Store Bay, Pigeon Point, Canoe Bay, Mount Irvine and Grafton Beach. In fact, Canaan is a perfect base for exploring all the attractions of Tobago: the main town of Scarborough, the various forts scattered around the island, the refreshing Argyll Falls, the charming villages of Speyside and Charlotteville, the restaurants around Crown Point and the Shirvan. RoadHosts Lestell and Orville Moore live on site with their two sons Omari and Akilo, their home is at the front of the site and the studio/apartment block is to the rear, in the middle of luscious gardens. All rooms have double beds, plenty of windows for light and fresh air as well as air conditioning, cable TV, ensuite bathrooms, full kitchen facilities and indoor and outdoor dining areas. It's a peaceful location, but just a few minutes walk to local restaurants, supermarket, bakery and greengrocers. All the guesthouses in Tobago seem to offer an airport pick up and drop off service and daily rides to local beaches.

Lestell and Orville offer much, much more - they took me and other guests all around the island to show us all the attractions, they took me to visit Orville's parents and Lestell's sister, they kindly invited me to join them for an evening of comedy at the annual Laugh Show in Scarborough, and invited me for dinner in their home and the opportunity to learn how to cook a myriad of traditional Tobagonian dishes. In short, they treated me as a visiting friend rather than a paying guest. And it wasn't just me, they are equally charming and hospitable to all their guests. To enable guests to do some independent sightseeing, they have cars, a jeep and bicycles for rent - I very much enjoyed cycling around. It's also very easy to hail a taxi to Crown Point or Scarborough from the main road which is just a couple of blocks away.If you're looking for somewhere to recharge your batteries, to experience the relaxed way of life of this sunny, friendly island in a beautiful location with charming hosts, LesVille's Place is the place to go.
