The Farmer's Market is the hub of activity on Wednesdays (12-4 PM) and Saturdays (8 AM - 12:30 PM). Local farms sell organic produce. A few regular purveyors of gourmet foods sell wine, cheese, nuts, dried fruit, tortillas, etc. There is a carousel powered by a bicycle (50 cents per child to ride). Go by the university's barn of cows on La Rue or check out the llamas at the vet school. You can also go horseback riding at the equestrian center. Quick Tips: There is a large park at Covell and 14th Avenue (near the Davis Arts Center) that will keep kids of all ages busy.
