Cozumel at Carnival

Overview

Quote:
This was not our first trip to Cozumel, but it *was* our first time staying on the Island. It definitely will not be our last - and to be there for Carnival - what fun. We arrived on Saturday 2/21/04 and were treated to delightful parades each night for four nights - each one more colorful than the next. The only timeshare available to us at time we booked was Plaza Las Glorias. After reading a couple of the reviews on other sites, I thought, "What have we gotten ourselves into?" But I have to say that those reviews were totally opposite of what we found! The staff was friendly and attentive, the studio was clean and neat, as were the grounds. Note: price listed is a guess - this was a timeshare for us. I have no idea what the going rate was. Clean studio-type hotel room. There are one- and two-bedroom timeshares as well, I believe. Wonderful upstairs open-air bistro. Great variety on the menu, combining Italian and local cuisine. We ate here our first night and liked it so much we dined there again for our last evening in Cozumel. We enjoyed the Stuffed Shrimp Au Gratin, a Fettucine Alfredo with Chunks of Lobster and mushrooms, and a Fettucine Alfredo with baby shrimp (not so small and lots of them!) and broccoli. Excellent food and waitstaff!
