Cabo San Lucas - Beaches and Deserts

An August 1998 trip to Cabo San Lucas by AngelaMHaven

Cabo San Lucas is truly an authentic Mexican vacation. You have a small town feel in the village, but also enough nightlife and activities.

Hotel | "Villa Del Palmar"

Villa Del Palmar is a wonderful resort. All rooms over look the Sea of Cortez and have balconies. We were confirmed into a studio unit, but it was spacious with a full kitchen, which is unusual in Mexico.

This resort had a wonderful large swimming pool with the best slide -- it's a whale slide that even adults love! This resort has restaurants and a deli on site, so if you are feeling lazy, hang out at the resort at night and relax! The activities desk will help you with snorkeling excursions or even a sunset cruise!

Attraction

Lovers Beach is only accessible by boat. It's a great spot to go snorkeling and to explore the rock formations -- you can go from the Sea of Cortez to the Pacific Ocean. Only snorkel on the Sea of Cortez side; the Pacific Ocean is very rough and not recommended to swim or snorkel, but it’s beautiful to see. There are locals selling their wares and also drinks and snacks. Boat taxis are abundant to take you and pick you up for a small fee.
