Caesars Tahoe

This is our favorite buffet in Tahoe. At this venue, you actually have the option of dining with a menu or eating at the buffet. We always opt for the buffet. The buffet has a traditional carving station with ham and prime rib. Then there are other typical foods like fish entrees and chicken entrees. There are starch side dishes. The best parts are the pasta station and the Chinese food station. You can have a chef make different types of chow mein or fried rice to order. I always get shrimp chow mein with only the veggies I like. You can choose between shrimp, chicken, or beef. The pasta station has different pastas and sauces available. In the morning hours, this is a breakfast/omelet bar. Th...Read More

Heavenly is the best way to describe the amazing views from the high mountains at this famous ski resort. From some of the ski runs, it feels as if you are skiing on the edge of the horizon and all you can see in front of you is this massive body of water (the lake) and the snow-covered mountains beyond. Snow Skiing - Heavenly Valley
South Lake Tahoe

We saw Big Fish at the Lake Horizon movie theater in Tahoe. The theater is small and gets very crowded with tourists on the weekend, so it's a good idea to buy your tickets early in the day because show times do sell out for popular movies. The bad thing about this theater is walking through a smoky casino to get there. But it’s smoke-free once inside. It's a nice relaxing activity to do after a day hitting the slopes. Or it's an inexpensive way to kill some time after losing money at the craps or black jack tables.

Matinee pricing is available.
