On a California to Florida road trip my water pump blew at 2am in the rain 50 miles west of Houston. I slept in my car until I could get help. It pays to keep a sleeping bag and pillow in your car on long trips.

Activity

Once I got to Fort Lauderdale, it was worth it. The sun rises every morning out of the warm ocean. You have your pick of beaches, everything from crowded to secluded.
