The Bubba Gump Shrimp House in Old Lahaina is a great, fun experience! If you like seafood, this is a great place. This is a fun atmosphere overlooking the water. Shrimp and fish are the main entrees and you get a lot of food for your buck. Good value!

Attraction | "Beaches of Maui"

Kannapali Beach is the longest and most popular beach in Maui. This beach is very wide in most areas -- you have hotels that are lined up along the beach, many water activities, or you can just hang out and enjoy the sun! My husband and I were snorkeling off Black Rock and saw the largest stingrays we have ever seen! The snorkeling is much better earlier in the day -- later in the day, there are too many people and the way the sun hits the water you have a hard time seeing what's in front of you.

Wailea Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches. You can lie on your towel and check out the island of Lanai in the distance, or test the waters and go snorkeling. This is also one of the best snorkeling areas. You will need to go out towards the left around the rocks for the best fish - they are not very abundant in the bay. We saw great sea turtles in this area. Watch out for the rocks! The waves will hit the rocks and you do not want to get caught in one of those waves.

As everyone before has said, you are picked up about 2am in the pitch-black night and taken to their office for a safety video and then up to the mountain. After about a 2-hour van ride, you are so ready to get out and stretch your legs. The sunrise is beautiful - the only downer was that the clouds came in and we didn't get to see the full sunrise. It's very cold on top - so dress appropriately, and you will need close-toed shoes for the bike ride - they will not let you wear sandals. After the sunrise was where my fun stopped - we got our bikes and started on the trip down. This is supposed to be the fun part! It wasn't for me and I am writing this just so other riders will be careful and if ...Read More
