Beautiful Beaches in Turks and Caicos

Overview

Quote:
The most memorable moment was for my husband. When he was swimming for the scuba diving certification, the local dolphin, Jo Jo, swam beside the group and underneath one of the guys ahead of him. If you're lucky, you'll get to see him to. I personally enjoyed the Hobie Cat and seeing the barrier reef. This is just an absolute paradise! Quick Tips: If you are expecting to shop for souvenirs, you won’t find a lot. We had friends who took a cab to a local shopping area and they said our resort’s gift shop had more to choose from. Beware: things are not cheap ether.Best Way To Get Around: We did not adventure off the resort, but did talk to a couple who rented a car and drov...Read More

The room we stayed in was in the French village. It was very clean, large, and decorated nicely. The bathroom was large with a separate area for the sinks. There was a large closet and plenty of drawer space. The room was equipped with an iron, ironing board, safe, TV, clock radio, hair dryer and the air-conditioning never failed us once. The patio opened up to the pool area, and had a table and chair outside if you wanted to enjoy just relaxing near your room. Our room had a king bed and a sofa sleeper.

Giuseppe's

Restaurant

Quote:
This restaurant was probably my favorite. We went there for a quick dinner and they happened to be serving a buffet that night. They had an incredible spread of everything imaginable -- I don't even know where to begin! I think the most exciting was the lobster; the tails were cut in half, so it made it very easy to eat. You could make your own salad, choose your own pasta with many different sauces, and there was a carving station with roast beef (this was to die for!). There was also a dessert station with more choices then you could even begin to try.

Sapodilla's

Restaurant

Quote:
Sapodilla's specializes in white-glove service for adults only. It is a very small quaint restaurant with an a la carte menu.

I wasn't too fond of Sapodilla's. The salads didn’t have a lot of substance. I also found the food portions to be small and not very flavorful. The presentation was nice, but not high on my list of recommendations.

Hobie Cat

Attraction

Quote:
I was afraid of the Hobie Cat at first because I thought we would get out in the ocean and not be able to make our way back. Boy, was I glad that I finally went out. The staff assisted us with getting on the Cat and gave us a brief course in the basics and off we went! My husband sailed, so I was able to lie down and soak up the sun. The water would splash up on us as we sailed across the water, which was very nice with 90 degree temperatures in September. The water was shallow in a lot of places, so we were able to look down and see all kinds of marine life. We were in our own little world. The waves were breaking out at the barrier reef, so, of course, we had to go check it out. Be careful go...Read More

This is the most beautiful water I have ever seen. If you love swimming or wading in water to your neck and being able to see clearly around you, this is the place for you. The Beaches Resort was absolutely splendid. The grounds were well manicured and very colorful. The resort was very spread out, and the new section was a totally different style than the original. The new section was referred to the French Village and mimicked a small French village. There is a large swimming pool with a swim-up bar, in this part of the resort and the children’s area is close to this section as, well. The main pool is near the lobby, and this is where most of the daily activities take place i.e. pool volleybal...Read More
