SKI VACATION 2004

A January 2004 trip to Franconia by Lissame

We stayed at the Mittersill Vacation Ownership Resort on a bonus vacation. The resort was comfortable, clean, and average. We went skiing at Cannon Mountain and Loon Mountain. We ate at the Village House Inn. Good food but a lot of cobwebs in the restaurant. We had an excellent time skiing.

Best Things Nearby:
The best thing nearby was Cannon Mountain. It was up the street from the resort. Also within a few miles there was also Loon Mountain and Watervill Valley.

Best Things About the Resort:
The best thing about the resort was that it was close to a couple of good ski mountains and only a hour drive to North Conway, NH.

Resort Experience:
The resort was not luxurious. It was clean and comfortable. The only downfall about our room is that smokers must have been in before our week and the room smelled like stale smoke, so if you are a non-smoker bring deoderizers. Even the bedding had a cigeratte smoke smell to it. Bring lots of candles. Otherwise, it was nice. I would go back.

Restaurant

The food was really good at this restaurant. The only downfall was that it was very dark so it was hard to read the menu, and also there were cobwebs all over. We ate there twice anyway. It was clean, except for the cobwebs.
