Attraction | "Brumbaugh's Wild West Furniture & Leather"

Brumbaugh's Cowboy Chair
We have three wonderful large furniture items from this store & love them. One is a reproduction of an antique wardrobe that is so good it has fooled people who know antiques. More leather furniture than you can believe is in one store. The telephone number is (817) 624-4123 (you need to dial all 10 digits when in Fort Worth.)

They will ship your purchases home. No problem! A real treat even if you only window shop. The people who work in this store are wonderful. We especially like the vast selection of carpets.

New location outside the Stockyard in the western part of Fort Worth. 11651 U.S. Higway 80 West (where I-30 meets U.S. 80 West). Telephone (817) 244-9377. More room for furniture and carpets! Best accessed from the west taking the Linkwood Exit. The building is large, yellow and on the south side of the I-30. Very, very large showroom.

This is a fun place to shop. The sales people are Fort Worth friendly and the delivery people are extremely careful.

Party Palace Knitting Is FunBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Party Palace"

We take Fort Worth seriously, for fun!
This shop is big and has a vast selection of party goods and other items. Sandy keeps things going on a high level of activity so there's always something new to check out. Much great variety than any mall card and party shop. Great place to buy goodies for Homecoming activities. Mp I love the yarn department. High quality stuff & supplies from all over the world. They teach kniting.

Attraction | "Winner's All Dance Supply Shop"

This is a great place to buy presents for dancers. Also, the ladies here really know how to fit shoes. The dancewear for little girls is beyond cute! Fantastic. Also jewelry that would appeal to young dancers.

Attraction | "Longhorn (Niver)Western Wear Outlet"

Sampenny, herself resting
This outlet store is on the site of the 120 year old manufacturing plant, 10 minutes south of downtown. The outlet shop entrance is on the south side of the building. Follow the big arrow!

Ask for 'Roma', the ladies who work here will really help you find what you want. Prices are very good as is the quality of the merchandise.

This is extremely high quality western style clothing of the sort sold in high priced resorts. Private dressing rooms.

This store is a very well kept secret, but anyone can shop there. They take the usual assortment of credit careds. Another benefit of shopping at this store is that it is only a 5 minute drive from the outlet store for the Justin Boot Company. The ladies at Longhorn/Niver can give you directions so you can buy your boots after you purchase your duds. Open weekends & half day on Saturdays. Across the street from the famous Paris Coffee Shop. Phone number is (817) 924-4299 gus@niverww.com

Archie's GardenlandBest of IgoUgo

Attraction

Crepe myrtles/Dallas Red
Archie's Gardenland is responsible for many of the beautiful green and living growing things in and around Fort Worth. There's been a Mr. Archie running the place for several generations. One of them explained to me what the difference was between St. Augustine grass which was good & Dallas grass which is a weed. He said I would know Dallas grass when I was swearing at it, while I was pulling it out of my garden--so true! The orchids are fantastic and are sold at prices better than I have seen elsewhere. Perhaps a little difficult to take home with you, but if you can, it's worth the effort.

Native Crepe Myrtle is tough
To say that this is an uncommon shop is an understatement. One of my favorite places for my husband to shop for me! (Is that clear enough?) Handmade jewelry, hand blown glass, furniture and other art pieces. Generally in a very modern vogue. This is NOT a craft shop. The artists whose work is for sale here are strickly top class.

This shop has become a destination for those of us who love silver jewelry. The selection is impressive and you won't see yourself walking down the street. Browsing in this shop is great fun even if you don't make a purchase. The owners and staff and friendly and are quite willing to explain their unusual items.

Most credit cards accepted. This shop is on the left (south) side of The University Park Village shopping center between Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma. About 6 blocks south of Interstate 30 West and 5 minutes north of the Zoo and Log Cabin Village. Ten minutes from Texas Christian University.

A big landmark to find this center might be the new Staples Office Supply Store that is on the southern edge. There are a few places in this center where a male might wise to shop. Hours are 10 to 9 daily, noon to 5 on Sunday.

This shopping center has several very popular restaurants as well as a Starbucks in the Barnes and Noble Book Store. It can get very busy, but usually there's plenty of parking. Christmas activities include carrage rides and elegant lighting. Overflow parking is to the north and west of the main center. Security is good.
