The hotel does face the Caribbean Sea, but I guess I expected a bit too much from the sea, like that it would be crystal clear, etc. Chalk that up to me not realizing this was South America, not Barbados. Live and learn!
While the food options were lacking in my opinion, what they had was decent. The breakfast, with black beans, eggs, and meat was especially good. Dinners changed each night and were well conceived, just not well prepared. I was expecting a bit more spice and flavor. Maybe it was bland due the predominance of gringos like myself.
