Beautiful Lake Tahoe

A September 2003 trip to Lake Tahoe by hucklebery

We love the Embassy Resort at Lake Tahoe. The staff remembers our names and treats us well. The indoor pool is ideal for the children. The restaurant is the best for breakfast. Our son loves the activities they have for the children -- there is always something new.

Best Things Nearby:
Tahoe Queen, Chevy's Mexican food, Wyland Gallery, Heavenly Ski Resort, Fresh Ketch restaurant, the lake, the mountains, and the trails.

Best Things About the Resort:
Indoor and outdoor pools and spas, a sauna, and a great restaurant for breakfast. The staff is very friendly and there are plenty of activities for the kids.

Resort Experience:
We enjoy the resort because we have days action packed with activities and then other days that we relax and do as little as possible. Lake Tahoe offers both, and our family never tires of our time spent at the Embassy Resort. The staff remembers our names and we feel at home, yet there is always something new to see or do. They provide bikes that you can use to ride around the lake and the beach is right there for playing. We like taking the shuttles to the casinos for dining and entertainment; it really makes the trip relaxing.

Restaurant

This restaurant is named after the owner and chef, Charlie Soule. This is our favorite romantic restaurant in North Lake Tahoe. The server, Steven, explains the food so well that you want to order it all. The small log cabin has a fireplace and is very intimate. The food is incredible and I always experiment with a new menu item.

Attraction | "Lake Tahoe Fishing Guide"

We arrived at the marina before most people were awake. Chuck took us out onto the lake in a very comfortable boat with a continental breakfast for our family. We enjoyed a view of Lake Tahoe Sunrise over the Eastern Sierra that was worth the trip alone. He set the downriggers to over 200 feet and we caught trout that were four, five, and six pounds. We took pictures and then he cleaned and fileted the fish; he also gave us cooking suggestions. We will be back.
