We made reservations without knowing a lot about the hotel. I was a little worried at first, but it turned out to be a great place in an excellent location. We stopped in at the River House after going on one of Savannah's ghost tours very late in the evening.

They have an extensive menu with many great dishes. We both had shrimp-based meals that were very flavorful. We didn't get dessert, but they have an amazing selection of baked goods and pies available. The waiter was slightly snooty, but it may have been because we were some of the last people through that night. Overall, the meal and atmosphere was nice and worthwhile.
