Cabo is out this world!!!! It's Mexico's best-kept secret.

Cabo San Lucas

Overview

First things first... the moment you arrive at Cabo international airport is realy an experience because you start feeling that you are already on Mexican time. We checked into the Pueblo Bonito resort in Cabo, which is, by the way, very close to town. We got a studio unit that fullfilled our needs. Downtown Cabo is a very large block divided into two small avenues. In these two avenues are all the restaurants and clubs, so if you are exchanging a timeshare, always look for the resorts that are close to town. The best thing to do in Cabo(besides water activities) is the ATV tour to the old lighthouse. You will be riding this four-wheel motorcycle across town to the sand dunes in this place where the Mexican government is hatching baby turtles, so if you get lucky, you can walk baby turtles down to the ocean! It's a 3-hour tour and it runs about USD per person.

Quick Tips:

Cabo is an expensive town, so if you think that just because you are in Mexico it will be cheaper, you are wrong. Bring credit cards and your ATM card because you will need it! If you want to save money, there are two beach clubs that are on the most popular beach in town, El Medano. These two places are Billigan's and the Office, which are side-by-side. They are right on the beach, and a bucket of ice-cold Corona will run like USD - drinking that in a hotel would be each.

Best Way To Get Around:

Don't waste your money renting a car - ALL THE HOTELS IN THE CORRIDOR AREA WILL PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION TO TOWN. And remember that I told you that Cabo downtown is small? There are no parking spaces available.

ANOTHER QUICK TIP! IF YOU ARE EXCHANGING, CHOOSE ONE OF THESE: SOLMAR, FINISTERRA, VILLA DEL PALMAR, PUEBLO BONITO ROSE, PUEBLO BONITO BLANCO, OR PUEBLO BONITO SUNSET. These are walking distance from town, so you will be saving a lot of money on cabs!!!

You say expensive? I say exclusive. You say very far to town? I say private and quiet. Just checking-in is an experience! The main building is an awesome construction -- this place is in the front page of almost all the resorts catalogs in the world; the colors, the service, and the food at this hotel are really things to remember! They have two really amazing pools, one of them with the pool bar. There's a band playing jazz music on the evenings and you will be able to watch the sunset from your own balcony. The rooms are spacious and very clean -- all the rooms have a safe and a provate balcony. Yes, this place is expensive, but if you want to fully enjoy your vacation, spend some extra money on your own comfort!

Best Things Nearby:
This is by far your best option in Cabo just because it's close to town. This great resort is almost new and the quality of the service and the quality of the food is awesome. You will get a unit with a kitchen -- there are small supermarkets within walking distance to buy food. These places DO NOT take credit cards so carry some cash.

Best Things About the Resort:
The spa -- I got a massage that made me think I was in heaven.

Resort Experience:
The units are very clean. Almost all the rooms have an ocean view and the best thing about his place is the warmth of the people. The accommodation varies form room to room, but the people there can arrange the type of beds you want. This place is very clean -- it seems they have this obsession about trashcans and papers; you will not see a fly

The best thing about this place is the check-in date (Monday) -- plane tickets are cheaper during the week. The pools are very nice, too.

Sancho Panza Wine Bistro and Night Club is located on the marina in downtown Cabo San Lucas. Experience fine dining, live music (jazz, Latin jazz, blues, Latin dance music), great atmosphere, original Cuban art, excellent service, and Los Cabos’ best company. Sancho Panza, one of the premier restaurants and entertainment spots in Cabo San Lucas and Los Cabos, features creative Mediterranean bistro cuisine, live jazz, and Latin dance music every day of the week.

At Sancho Panza, they try to provide the best ingredients to enjoy an evening out in Cabo the desert paradise. According to the owners (they display some diplomas and news reviews), the food has received excellent reviews in nearly all the major food and wine magazines in the United States and some in Europe, as well as in the best international travel guides. Their fine food has improved even further with the new menus created by a great new, young, Mexican chef -- I don’t remember his name, but he is great.

Besides very fine cuisine, they offer the best and fairest wine list in Cabo San Lucas and Los Cabos, the coolest bar, Baja California’s best music, and the finest company on the planet. All provided in a casually elegant and stimulating atmosphere. If that sounds like something you might.

This place is hard to find is located by Plaza las Glorias Hotel and very close to the "KFC." I strongly recommend you to eat what I had, which is delicious: tuna carpaccio thinly sliced and marinated in olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and lime, served with capers, green onion, and Parmesan cheese. Lobster Pasta (do I need to say more?!). And an AMAZING CHOCOLATE PIE! All this with a great bottle for a Mexican Monte Xanic -- the owner is a cigar lover, so he gave me two authentic Cuban cigars!! This place is very nice!!!

El Tio Fleet

Activity

I have never been a fisherman, but Cabo is the best spot in the world to fish. My first time fishing, I just caught a 300-pounder BIG BLUE MARLIN -- it's that easy to go fishing. The best fleet in Cabo will be the one that you can afford!! There are no differences between one and another, so if you get lucky, you will get a pretty good deal!!

You guys will be paddling along a spectacular Sea of Cortez coastline and exploring desert islands piercing the blue waters. The mountains rising out of the sea create spectacular and unique scenery. Red desert colors, blue water, and magical landforms give this area great photographic appeal. Paddling a sea kayak in these waters offers exceptional opportunities for viewing dolphins, sea lions, fin whales, and blue whales in their natural habitat. The clear, warm water is alive with brightly colored fish -- perfect for snorkeling. You will discover lovely white beaches in hidden aquamarine coves. Activities include snorkeling in search of exotic fish, paddling between islands or along a remote shore and hiking up scenic canyons and headlands offering breathtaking panoramas of the wild coastline and scattered islands.

Camping here is a real treat!!!!!! With almost no insects, most people sleep outside their tents under stars making this a romantic adventure if you are traveling with your best half. Find out why the Sea of Cortez is a kayaker's paradise. TRY IT!!!

The best time to do it is in the wintertime just because of the weather conditions.

We decided to take a trip to the ATV tour to the old lighthouse (which by the way is not that old!!); this tour departures from just in front of Plaza Las Glorias Hotel. Well, the best tour for you must be the sunset trip, which leaves at 4pm. Why this is the best? Because you will be able spend all by the pool or the beach and by 4pm, the sun is not that strong. You will be riding your own ATV through this sand desert road ‘til you get to this lonely beach, which is protected by the Mexican government. This place has two racing tracks if you are traveling with a group, but the highlight of the tour must be the AWESOME sunset view from this beach! Your can bring an ice box and some beers!
