What not to do if you plan to visit Florida for spring break.

The concept of visiting the Winter Music Conference - the mecca of dance music - was considered, but it would have finished 2 weeks before we were set to go, so we decided to try our hand at drinking, partying, socialising and having debauched fun!

Quick Tips:

Either stay in one place or totally dismiss the concept of the USA as a developed country - the public transport infrastructure is appalling! We stayed a few days in Miami before heading to Pompano Beach, then Daytona Beach - it was Greyhound or bust! Trains are nonexistent between conurbations and can be occasionally found in metropolitan areas.

Best Way To Get Around:

Greyhound for anywhere further than 10 miles - cabs are okay, buses seem to be regular, but it all depends on where you're staying. It's easy in Miami, but further up the A1A coastal highway, it become less accessible.

Attraction | "Pompano Beach & Las Olas"

Pompano Beach, where we stayed, was quiet and just a strip of beach front hotels, but when we got the bus up to Las Olas, we found the Beach Place, which is a fantastic mall of small shops and loads of bars and restaurants. Every taste and budget is catered for -- two of our party even managed to consume over $200 of drinks and not pay a cent (although I wouldn't reccommend trying it on purpose).
