Via Roma Breach resort

The area was just fantastic and had a real holiday and beach atmosphere to it. There was a big supermarket supplying all sorts of things needed for a beach vacation and lots of restaurants were close by also.

The area was beautiful; the resort, however, was not great. We were in one of the units across the road and I would not recomend them. The unit was very old-fashioned and very dark.

Quick Tips:

We went to the "Cafe on the Beach" for some food, which was nice and very affordable.

It is only a short drive to Sarasota, which is such a nice place, with lots of restaurants and shops on St Armands Circle.

Best Way To Get Around:

There was a free trolley service available bringing you from one part of Anna Maria Island to the other. You could just hop on or off at the signed stops. A car is definitely an advatage. St. Petersburg, Tampa and Orlando are in easy reach.

Best Things Nearby:
The long, long, long sandy beach. Close to Sarasota: shopping in St Armands Circle, nice restaurants.

Best Things About the Resort:
Really nice beach resort, long sandy, clean beach. There were few people around, very peaceful. The outdoor hottub was great.The staff was friendly.

Resort Experience:
I didn´t feel very comfortable in the unit. The unit across the road where we stayed was very dark and old-fashioned, and we found ants in the bedroom. The equipment was functioning, but seemed very, very old.

There were no activities, but we were expecting that so there was no issue about that. We didn´t spend too much time in the resort, and instead went for day trips or to the beach.
