The hotel was originally a Hyatt, but Mariott took over in mid-2003. They have done an excellent job of renovating the hotel, and have made it more elegant with better service. The staff are all very courteous and helpful.
The room is what you would expect from a typical Mariott hotel--functional, clean, and the bed is very comfortable. The hotel is probably the best in town for both business and pleasure. The entrance to the hotel is somewhat tricky for the first timer (although the hotel can be seen from a distance). There is a shuttle bus to the downtown area (the hotel is very close to downtown, almost walking distance). There are many good restaurants in the near by downtown area or by the river.
