Quote: The Big Island is beautiful, though very expensive. There's quite a bit to do and explore, especially Volcano National Park, but a rental car is strongly recommended while visiting.
This hotel is absolutely beautiful with lots to do right on the property. It can be a great place if you're planning on simply relaxing. The hotel is very nice with lots of restaurants and shops for almost every need. It can be somewhat expensive though. The room I had was without refrigerator or microwave, so all meals had to be bought. The rooms were decorated very nicely, with a great view. The property is quite large and offers either boat service or a tram to go from one side to the other. There are several pools, as well as an open lagoon, which provides some great snorkeling.
