Christmas in San Diego

A December 2004 trip to San Diego by seekerpanda

I stayed at Gaslamps Plaza Suites in the Gaslamp Quarter. The valet parking was a bit expensive. Good location however.

Best Things Nearby:
Horton Plaza

Best Things About the Resort:
People that worked there were really nice.

Resort Experience:
Older building; smelled like a dentist's office when you stepped off of the elevator, but the rooms were clean and did not smell. Small jacuzzi, only four people at a time. Nice view from the roof. Street noise kept me up one night, I was on the seventh floor. Restaurant - Dakota's is nice, but expensive. The valet parking was very expensive. Overall, it is a great location and I had a good time.

They have the brand-name stores like Nordstrom and Macy's, as well as the local flavor like the San Diego store. It was only 2 blocks from the Gaslamps Plaza Suites.
