The price per room, in this gorgeous hotel recently purchased by a renowned Italian hotel chain, was for the mandatory meal plan for two persons for each day (approx. $30pp/pd) at their lovely restaurant. This unexpected expense was not mentioned, unfortunately, in the RCI Book/Datasheet prior to our departure, and we wish this would be optional or limited to fewer evening meals so that one could enjoy dinners in other local or even nearby establishments, as is customary on vacations or when one cannot prepare meals in your room.
