Romantic Island, Romantic Hotel

A December 2003 trip to Catalina Island by nfergie

What a beautiful place and what a great way to ring in the New Year! We stayed at the most friendly inn--Seaport Village Inn--and because we booked online and put "managers special" in the notes, we got a 10% discount at this website. Great value!

My husband found this little gem online, we called to find out what was going on for the New Year's celebrations and the reservationist was very helpful and knowledgeable. We ended up booking online because if you put "managers special" in the notes you get a 10% discount. www.catalinacatalina.com. The hotel is located so conveniently, less than a block from the beach, shops and restaurants, but it is very private and quiet at the end of its own drive. The room was fabulous, modern and clean with a double jacuzzi bathtub, mini-fridge, microwave, and TV. Hot breakfast was free and I loved the french toast stuffed with apples, my husband preferred the breakfast burritos! We loved having our own jacuzzi, but used the outdoor spa after scuba diving as well as the sauna. The staff were so friendly and helpful. My husband pulled a muscle in his back and they arranged to have a massage therapist come to our room. Everything exceeded our expectations: the inn, the island, the people... What a great way to ring in the new year! We will be back soon.
