The best thing at the resort is the restaurant FRIDA, serving Mexican cuisine - the place and food were awesome. The beach as well is nice - the thing I like the best about it is that you can walk on it in the evenings and there´s not many people around. By the way, the units are lovely - even the studios are quite spacious, and as well, you have partial view to the sea!

Quick Tips:

If you get to the airport, there´s going to be a taxi site, but if you want to spend about half of the regular rate for the cabs from the airport, you only have to go out of the airport and cross the bridge. On the other side of the bridge, you will always find yellow taxis for cheaper than inside the airport, and thay are safe!!!!

Best Way To Get Around:

The reason to go to this resort is to really go and stay there, though if you are planning to go shopping to PV, there´s a bus that goes past the resort that you can pick up and get to town rather than taking a cab. The only thing is that the buses will stop going to Nuevo Vallarta about 10:30pm, so you must hurry up or catch a cab (which I would recommend at night).

I stayed in a studio, which was great. My unit was really big and well located with a lovely ocean view. The sleeper sofa bed is really very comfortable, and the unit had a whirlpool/hot tub.

Well, I went there as part of the all-inclusive program offered by Grand Velas. The restaurant is really nicely decorated. The food is Mexican "high cuisine." However you want to call it, the food and service will be perfect and delicious!!!!! I´ve never thought of such a nice restaurant.
