A December 2003 trip
to Coeur d Alene by Ed C
Quote: I stayed at the WorldMark Arrow Point Resort on Lake Coeur d'Alene. The lake is beautiful, with snow in the mountains this time of year. The resort was great and travel to this part of the country in December was no problem.
There are some of the largest antique stores I've ever been in. Not that I'm an expert antique shopper, nor have I been in many antique stores, but I was impressed.
The accommodations in our two-bedroom unit were fine. We found the condo in clean condition and everything about the condo was comfortable except the living room furniture, which was too small for our height.
The fireplace kept the place warm. We didn't have to use the central heating system at all. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the dining area looked out over the lake; very nice.
We mentioned at the office that there was no lighting or signs leading to the office. We arrived in the dark and had one heck of a time finding the office. Also, the walkway and steps leading to the office were not cleared of snow. This was our worst experience with the resort. Good thing the receptionist could lead us to the office by talking to us on our cell phone. We were informed that there is an HOA that the resort has to deal with, so it isn't easy to get things changed for the resort patrons. Many of the condos in our building were owned by permanent residents.
I would like to go back and stay there again, but not in winter. I would like to be able to use the lake for boating, swimming and fishing.
