Beautiful Los Cabos

A February 2000 trip to Cabo San Lucas by minafeld

Quote: One of the first things that struck us while visiting Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo is how happy and friendly the people were. After spending a week there, we understood - when you live in paradise, why should you not be happy?

Overview

The beach and scenery of Los Cabos is spectacular. The climate is arid and the topography rugged. You can walk the beach for miles; there is a good distance between the hotels, and hopefully, it will stay that way.Quick Tips: You definitely need to visit both Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. They are about 20 miles apart and very different. San Jose is a lazy little town, with good restaurants, a lovely town square and interesting shops. Cabo is lively and, in some spots, a little seedy. Cabo is also where most of the excursions leave from, so if you are planning any side trips, chances are you will leave from Cabo. Best Things Nearby:There really is nothing nearby. Even the road leading to town is about a one-mile walk. But it doesn't matter because the resort is so magnificent, you don't need anything nearby.Best Things About the Resort:This resort can take your breath away, it is so lovely. The timeshares are colorful villas on the cliff overlooking the ocean. In addition, you can use all the amenities of the Westin Hotel. There are seven pools. We liked the one that was closest to the villas because it was adults only and quiet. Our daughter and her friend stayed at the main pool by the hotel, because it had lots of action. There is something for everyone.Resort Expe...Read More
