Quote: Bali is an exotic place with unbelievable activities like sightseeing, surfing, massage, spas, pubs, shopping, etc, etc. Kuta of Bali is a good place to start, as it has all the above. Tip: While shopping, you may bargain down below 50%. Use local currency to avoid being short-changed.

Bargain, bargain, bargain.

This is the bargain city. Any street vendor will not hestitate to quote you a 200% selling price or higher. Almost everyone makes their living through tourism in Bali. Ornaments are aplenty. Batik clothing like sarong skirts are very sexy-looking and very cheap (less than $5 each). Beautiful handmade souvenirs make very good gifts for friends, and all are less than $0.50 each.

Local food is extremely cheap, less than $2 - even in normal restaurants, it costs you less than $5 per person. We went to a Mexican restaurant (Pianotos) in Kuta city and it cost us less than $6 for two people, and that included a free chauffeured car back to our resort. Try out the local food, like Nasi Kuning, Nasi Goreng, and Nasi Padang. A local pub/restaurant also served very cheap beer and sumptuous Cordon Bleu Grilled Chicken.

Lots for fun for the Sun, Sand and Sea lovers. Activities here are very affordable. Bali has some of the best waves for surfing. Canoeing is also available at selected areas. You can also enjoy a beer on the beach while you appreciate some pretty babes sunbathing on the beaches.

Or you can play pool in one of the beach pubs around. Very exciting!
