A Wunnerful Wunnerful Resort

Our villa was great. It was very clean, albeit a little well used, but still was exceptional!!! The rooms were huge. You could have a party in the bathrooms. One bathroom only had a shower but that was made to order as we travelled with my parents & my mother has bad knees & cannot get into the tub without assistance. This shower also had a seat built into it...the other bathroom had a huge tub/shower combo. The bedrooms were great, both had ceiling fans & sliding doors out to the patio. The living room sat 4 very comfortably & the kitchen was so well appointed that you could have entertained the troops!!! The resort is also built around the golf course so even it you don't golf you can still enjoy the carts filled with golfers go past as you are sitting on your furnished balcony. The grounds are perfectly manicured. They crew is always cleaning up something...we weren't sure there was anything left to clean up but they certainly kept busy & it really showed.

The only time we ate in the restaurant was on our anniversary evening & we had the buffet & then went to the show. They offer a special "show" buffet. It was very diversified with a great salad bar, carved beef, chicken & every vegetable under the sun. The dessert table was to die for as well. The service was impeccable!!!

This resort is a great place to go. There is so much to do in the area. We took a bus trip to Mexico which was very informative & a lot of fun. There were other people on the bus that had done the Hollywood trip a few days earlier & they enjoyed it very much. There were so many activies going on around the resort that you needed to spend at least 2 weeks there to so you can get everything in. Unfortunately we only were able to spend 1 delightful week there.

The Resort is a bit out of the way so having a car at your disposal is recommended. We did quite a bit of touring in the area as it is only 20+ miles to wine country & 42 miles to San Diego. Oceanside is quite a nice community to tour around in as well. There is a lot of shopping within a 50 mile radius which includes department stores like Wal-Mart as well as high end Factory Outlets.

The staff in the resort are very friendly & the concierge is extremely knowledgeable of everything to do in the area.
