Embassy Suites San Diego Bay - DowntownBest of IgoUgo

Hotel | "Embassy Suites"

Fabulous suites are perfect for families, and you can't beat their full American breakfast served free every morning, and also their afternoon Happy Hour is the best. Everything about the hotel, location is convenient to airport, and highways. The staff is extremely accommodating, and it is very reasonable. Request a room overlooking San Diego Bay. If you can get one with a balcony, it is fabulous.

Hilton San Diego ResortBest of IgoUgo

Hotel | "Hilton Mission Bay"

As far as I know, the deluxe hotel on the water, and with a beach. There are a couple of others but far away from downtown. There are all kinds of beach activities, a cruise you can take at dusk, beautiful pool, great restaurants. Ask for a room overlooking the water, it is worth every penny. Skateboarding, roller skating, bicycling, all are there. Very upscale, and beautiful grounds. Great bar and restaurants.

Anthony's Fish Grotto--San DiegoBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "Anthony's Fish Grotto"

Great food in a great location. Sit by the water's edge, and enjoy the beautiful sunset on the bay. One of the most popular restaurants in San Diego, and well worth it. Service and food are great and you can't beat the view.

Rainwater'sBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "Rainwaters"

A beautiful restaurant specializing in steaks, and huge ones. You can split with your date. Everything is al a carte, so it is quite expensive. Supposed to be one of the best steak houses in America.

Wild Animal ParkBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "San Diego Wild Animal Park"

This park is a good drive from downtown, however, it is worth every mile. It is by far better than the San Diego Zoo. The animals are in the wild, and the tram ride takes you to every part of the park. Probably the best thing we did in San Diego. Don't miss the opportunity to see this. It is worth renting a car for the day just to see it.

Croce's RestaurantBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "croce's"

There are actually two Croce's restaurants, owned by the wife of Jim Croce. One is a jazz club, and the other is a night club featuring different bands. Both serve food, and if you sit outside, the crowd watching is fabulous. Food is good, jazz is great.

Mission BayBest of IgoUgo

Attraction

Beautiful beach on the outskirts of San Diego. Volleyball is played daily, runners are out in droves, but it is a beautiful beach. There is an amusement park on the edge of it. Very fun, and the kids will enjoy it. Lots of college kids, and surfers.

SeaWorldBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Sea World"

You could probably spend about 3 days in Sea World, however, you can see it in a day, if you stick to the live shows. The are wonderful. The dolphin show is the best in the world, and don't forget the killer whale. Something for everyone in the family.
