A March 1999 trip
to Acapulco by DUF
Quote: We have visited many Mexican destinations- eash and west coast. Last year we discovered Acapulco- an older location with much charm and lots to do.
The weather in Acapulco is simply excellent- sunny, breezy most of the year. In March, it is comfortably hot, making it a delightful winter trip for those wishing to get away from the show and cold temperatures. There are multiple golf courses in the area- the two we found to be simply wonderful are those affiliated with the Pierre Marquez and Acapulco Princess Hotels on the south side of the Acapulco. These are historic courses, well developed in their flora and fauna- each distinctly different giving the player a different challenge on each course.
The afternoons are also good for touring into town to visit the crafts markets, or taking the quintessential tour to see the famous cliff divers. There are tours guides available at every hotel who can set this up for you during your stay.
You have a choice of rooms- villas, standard aand delux high rise options depending on your price points. We stayed in the Tower ( 5 Stories), in a Pacific Delux Room overlooking the ocean. The rooms were spacious and there were very good quality amenities in the room. The food quality is excellent in all choices.
We plan on returning- it was a wonderful, restful week filled with great golf! The courses are in great shape- and well run.
