Vegas is the land of fun 24 x7! Our bachelorette fun started as we boarded the plane - the entire SouthWest flight from Oakland,CA to Las Vegas was in a party mood! Once you leave the plane and walk into the airport the sound of slot machine bells ring in your ears and you know you have arrived VIVA LAS VEGAS! Next, we took a cab which was a quick ride to our hotel, the Mandalay Bay. At first, the oasis feeling of this tropical paridise felt relaxing, until I walked through the casino and to our room - I realized I was in another world - not just a resort/hotel! Mandalay Bay is amazing...read on to hear of my bachelorette tales while at the Mandalay Bay!Quick Tips: Take a cab fro...Read More

Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino

Hotel | "Mandalay Bay"

If you are seeking a younger crowd (average age 30) at an upscale (rooms are approximately 500 sq feet) resort - stay here! Don't even consider Ballagio or Aladin - Mandalay Bay is where the party is! Even the lounges offer dancing and fun - for free!!! But you will want to head to other locations for the REAL fun.

This is an amazing restaurant - the decor features large waterfalls! Try the specialty drinks and the food - well you won't worry about the food! I did enjoy the fresh sea bass and filet. If you plan to dance - go no further- just eat late and stay here to party!

Welecome to the surreal world of Cirque de Sole - the auditorium is amazing as is the show. The performance is a mantage of acrobatics, diving and gymnastics. There is a lot going on - you actually would need to see this several times to see everything. The costumes and the sets are amazing. Was it worth $100? I am not sure... but I am glad to have had the experience.

An Evening At La Cage

Attraction | "Le Cage"

Quote:
Madonna, Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Celine Dion and more! Plus the comedy of Joan Rivers for $28! This show is wonderful and funny! I have paid a lot to see the headliners in Vegas and found this to be the most enjoyable! The men are wonderful performers and the show is well worth the price of admission.

Red Square

Story/Tip

Quote:
The Red Square is a bar and restaurant in the Mandalay Bay. We were much more interested in the martinis than the food - the food is Russian (as the name suggest.) A large replica of the famous Lenin statue in the Red Square sits outside the door. You look inside and your eyes are greeted by large bottles of vodka! If you like Martinis you have met your match. Try the Appletinis - (espeicially if you like Apple flavored Jolly Ranchers) they are wonderful - but beware they go down easy and standing up can be a bit of a challenge!
