Ski trip with friends to Banff AB

Overview

Quote:
Some great things to try are the gondalas to the top of Sulfer Mountain, skiing at Lake Louise, Ferinie, WinterGreen, and Sunshine, and the Calgary Stampede in the summer is a great family trip.

Quick Tips:

Visit during the Calgary Stampede if coming during the summer months. Calgary is close to Banff and has a very exciting 10-day carnival during the summer. Great for the family. Book early during winter.

Best Way To Get Around:

Transportation is very easy around Banff. You can walk all over and take shuttle buses to and from ski hills.

Good place to stay. It has ski rental and a restaurant on-site, and a shuttle bus to and from the hill every morning. Rooms are not too huge but sized right. Clean rooms and friendly staff is also a plus.

Very fun restaurant with a great selection of food. You select from a wide range of meat, vegetables, and seafood. They then bring a hot rock heated to 1500 F, and you cook your food with a wide selection of sauces. Really fun and a great way to try Alberta AAA beef.

Very nice, laid-back place with a great selection of drinks and food. I had a great turkey sandwich that could have made all four of us full. I really enjoyed the meal, and will go back again.

Story/Tip

Banff is a very beautiful place to visit, and I highly recommend seeing it for yourself. I travel to Banff at least three times a year to either fish, golf, or ski. The sights are perfect. The people are great and there's lots of wildlife to be seen.
