The fishing in Seldovia Bay and nearby Kachemack Bay are beyond compare. Due to the convergence of a warm and cold ocean current, this area was recently dubbed by the government to be the most fertile waters in the United States. Bird-watchers will also be impressed by the wide variety of sea and land fowl. Quick Tips: Boating/Fishing charters are numerous, and often at very reasonable prices. You can often also find a local fisherman who will be more than willing to take you out on his/her personal boats for much less.
