Best Things Nearby:
Casinos are a quarter mile away, I would not walk at night because it is a bad area. The area looks a bit dark and dingy at night and I noticed some gangs hanging around at night. I would recommend using a car or cab. During the day it is a short walk, about 10-15 minuites. There is a beach with a very long boardwalk that has bicycle taxis. Ripley''s Believe It or Not was there. We did it and I would not recommend it . It was boring and was more of a replica of things. I liked the game zone arcades on the boardwalk. There are many restaurants in the area, both fast food and sit down diner. There are plenty of shops. Make sure you pick up salt water taffy, which is a specialty in this area. I recomend James salt water taffy it is more expensive but well worth the $6 a box.
Best Things About the Resort:
The resort is very well kept. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The Ozone Lounge is a must do on a Saturday night. We had a great time here. The Karaoke is alot of fun and the people there dance to the newest dance stlyes. I found that they were very helpful in teaching others the dance moves.
The kid''s corner and the game room along with the indoor pool are located on the seventh floor and will keep the kids occupied. The Ozone is on the same floor so it is easy to look in on them.
Crafts are done in this room, as well. An exercise room and jacuzzi sport a breath-taking, full open view of the ocean.
Resort Experience:
This is a resort that trades with II curently. Some of the rooms are not as large as some that I have been to in other areas. Every one of the six oceanview rooms in which we stayed were newly redone.
Our 28th floor unit was a corner room. It had a realy nice view. The porch came with a table and chairs and a chaise. The view was amazing. The room offered a nicely decorated bathroom and a mini-kitchen. It had a small triangle multi-level table that looked cool. My room was smaller than all the others but it was better decorated. The other one-bedroom units were different from each other. One of the rooms had a huge living room and a large bedroom with a sleeper sofa.
We also had studios that were similar to a hotel room, but it is larger than a hotel room and has a mini-kitchen. They had two queen beds and one bathroom. The studio rooms came with sleeper sofas that slept six.
The parking situation at the resort is not the best. One night we were forced to park on the street, because the space was insufficient to house all guests'' cars . The elevators are a little slow but were not as bad as I had heard.
As I stated above the resort is about a quarter mile from a casino , They supply a free shuttle that is not run 24 hours. The shuttle runs from the day untill midnight They have a new casino in the works that will be an eighth of a mile away. The surrounding area has been cleaned up a bit but still could use some work.
All in all we had a great time and were treated like gold. I would go back again. I would rate this resort an 8.5 because all our rooms were like new that we received and the resort was very well kept.
